About the Programme
These classes are specially designed by our highly qualified teachers for the children in their class. The classes build on the skills the children have learnt in our 0-3 year classes, but are also great for children who are new to music. The children develop autonomy in their music skills while continuing to develop their musicianship.​
Classes are designed to develop a greater independence in singing and using instruments, introduce more complex musical terms and rhythms, continue to develop careful listening and following instructions, and establish confidence and positive associations to learning.
This class provides a good foundation for children and parents moving to Suzuki instrument learning. As of Term 2 2025 this class includes group violin for children 3.5 years and older. We dedicate about a quarter of our class time to learning the foundation elements of violin playing.
Twinkle & Co. is part of The Twinkle Foundation.The Twinkle Foundation is a collective of Suzuki teachers in Aotearoa, New Zealand who teach an educational music programme for 0-5 year olds and their parents. Our values and principles underpin our teaching, following the philosophy of Dr Suzuki and concepts of DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility).​​
